Sunday School for Children, Youth, and Adults meet from September to May at 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. in the education wing of the church.

The children’s and youth classes use a lectionary-based curriculum from Morehouse Publishers, “Living the Good News”.  Because the Bible texts used in Sunday School are the same as those usually used as basis for the worship service, learning and understanding of those texts are reinforced and enhanced.

There are two on-going classes for Adults:

“The Present Word” is a bible study curriculum used by one of the classes.   The Adult Discussion Class uses various books and curricula that cover a wide variety of topics, including current issues and events as well as church-related topics of interest.

Additional Programs for Children (Grades K – 5)

“Close Encounters” is a weekly after-school program.  Content may include crafts, music, puppetry, drama, etc. (September – April).

“Worship for Life” is a worship education program that occurs during the second part of the worship service on the first and third Sundays of the month (September – May).  Participants learn about the different elements and movements of reformed worship.

Youth Fellowship (Middle and High School Youth)

Youth activities focus on the areas of fellowship, service, study, and worship.  Youth and adults work together to plan activities twice a month year round.

Confirmation

Youth become full members of the congregation by participating in the Confirmation program.  This bi-annual program usually occurs during Lent, with confirmands being received as members on Palm Sunday.  Adult mentors from the congregation play an

important role in accompanying the youth through the confirmation journey.
